HOW DOES THE HAVEN HOME FIT WITHIN THE LOCAL HOMELESS SHELTER NETWORK?

The Haven Home provides emergency overflow shelter to homeless women and children awaiting beds at local family shelters.

How do I access Shelter services?

Cuyahoga County utilizes a Coordinated Intake process located at the Bishop Cosgrove Building at 1736 Superior Ave. Cleveland, OH. Coordinated Intake explores alternatives to shelter and shelter placement.

Families in need of emergency shelter should report to Coordinated Intake. After 8pm, families can call 211 which will review options with them and report to Coordinated Intake the next day.

HOW MAY I OBTAIN SHELTER ON A WEEKDAY?

To obtain shelter, visit the Coordinated Intake Program at 1736 Superior Avenue, 2nd Floor of Cosgrove Building Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.

HOW MAY I OBTAIN SHELTER ON A WEEKEND?

If a family requires shelter after 8:00 p.m. or on weekends, call 2-1-1 to explore resources. Singles and families will need to come to Coordinated Intake the following day or Monday for an assessment.

What services are provided at the shelter?

Case management for families in overflow is provided by Frontline Services. Within two weeks of admission, a case manager will contact you to help you obtain needed services. If eligible, you will be referred to EDEN for housing assistance.

WHAT HAPPENS AT COORDINATED INTAKE?

FrontLine Service and its partner agencies will work with you to identify personal and community resources which may prevent homelessness. Shelter beds are available 365 days a year, 7 days a week.

WHAT IS THE AGE REQUIREMENT AT THE HAVEN HOME?

Children must be 18 years of age or under.

DOES THE HAVEN HOME ACCEPT WALK-IN'S?

Families are referred through Coordinated Intake located in the Bishop Cosgrove building and operated by FrontLine Services. We cannot accept walk-in clients at this time.

How long will I be at the shelter?

The Family Overflow Shelter exists to provide temporary emergency shelter until a bed opens up at a family shelter. The length of time at The Haven Home is dependent upon many factors, including the number of families in shelter, housing availability and placements
